Holiday Inn Express & Suites Orlando East-Ucf Area by IHG

Hello, I recently stayed at your Holiday Inn Alafaya location while in town with my partner for a bowling tournament. Overall, my stay was fine and I did not have any major complaints about the hotel itself. However, I did want to provide some feedback regarding the service at the front desk. One of the associates I interacted with earlier in the day seemed very disengaged and unprofessional. He appeared more focused on his phone than on assisting guests. I asked him about having my room cleaned, but it did not seem to be a priority to him, and my room was never serviced as requested. Later that evening, after returning from my tournament, I had a completely different experience with another front desk employee. He was a larger black gentleman whose name I believe started with a “J” (possibly John or Joanna). He was extremely attentive, compassionate, and genuinely listened to my concerns. He went out of his way to make me feel welcome and even offered me snacks and a drink to improve my experience. His professionalism and kindness made a big difference, and I truly appreciated his effort. I was so grateful that I went out of my way to bring him a pizza as a thank-you. I wanted to share this because employees like him are what make guests feel valued and willing to return. Unfortunately, the earlier interaction with the other associate left a poor impression and made me hesitant about staying again. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I hope you continue to have more staff members like the gentleman who assisted me that evening.

I’ve had a wonderful stay here. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very well maintained the entire staff has been exceptionally kind, professional, and informative throughout my visit. Jay, the general manager clearly runs a fantastic team - everything operates smoothly and you can feel the positive atmosphere. I truly appreciate the hospitality and would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is perfect if you want to stay near UCF! The breakfast every morning was hot & well maintained. Tess did an amazing job servicing the breakfast bar. I brought 23 high school students that eat alot. We will stay here again. 4/5 rating due to construction on site.

Tess is the lady who serves breakfast and is beyond kind! The rooms are clean and beds are super comfy. Everyone meets you with kindness. They have a new GM and he was great! I had to leave at 6:30 and he offered me fresh coffee and a bagel when breakfast wasn’t open yet.

This hotel is great! Very clean and everyone was so nice and friendly from housekeeping to front desk to management. Priscilla and Mr. Lee were so helpful when I had questions about my reservation. I’d stay here again for sure!

One of the few hotels that truly delivers warm and genuine guest service! Ms. Valentina at the front desk made check-in smooth and completely hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Each morning, Ms. Tess’s welcoming smile and friendly assistance at breakfast made every day feel extra special. Exceptional hospitality from start to finish — highly recommended!

Descent stay, the rooms were clean and they were accommodating in bringing a cot that was more like a real bed, which was great. There is always cold water in the lobby and a nice selection of snacks for purchase. The breakfast was the best part, they had a nice array of breakfast foods and Tess was super helpful and diligent in making sure everyone has what they need. She and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The floor of the shower in the bathroom is pretty gross looking, that wasn’t pleasant. Neither was returning to the hotel with the entrance trash bin heaping with garbage in and around it. The gym also leaves much to be desired, it was a bit messy and dirty. Other than that, it was a pretty good stay.

This was a very pleasant stay. The most enjoyable part of the stay was the Staff. They were professional, nice, and very accommodating. The breakfast was very good, the dinning area was clean and neat. Tess the staff attendant for breakfast was awesome! She made breakfast very welcoming. She provided 5-Star service!
